Bacon Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken

Writer's picture: Debbie TurnerDebbie Turner

This is the best chicken you'll ever eat with so few ingredients. Sticky, crispy, smoky, sweet and garlicky. The PERFECT weeknight entrée.

Ingredients

2/3 cup brown sugar, packed

3 Tablespoons garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper, ground

6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (you may have to slice in half lengthwise if too thick)

12 slices thick-cut bacon

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees

  • In large bowl, add brown sugar, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix until combined.

  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels.

  • Coat chicken in brown sugar mixture on both sides.

  • Wrap each piece of chicken with two slices of bacon, keeping the ends tucked under the chicken to prevent unwrapping while baking.

  • Place chicken in a lightly sprayed 9x13 cake pan. (You'll need those high sides for all the juices!)

  • Top with remaining brown sugar mixture.

  • Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until cooked through and bacon is lightly browned. Be careful not to let the brown sugar burn and blacken.

This is excellent served with any of your favorite veggies.
